The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Grande International Hospital (GIH) is a state-of-the-art facility committed to delivering world-class critical care. Designed to manage a wide spectrum of life-threatening conditions, the ICU is staffed by a dedicated team of critical care specialists, supported by multidisciplinary consultants, one-to-one nursing care, and a team of allied health professionals.

Our core objectives are:

·         Excellence in patient care

·         Evidence-based clinical practice

·         Patient safety

·         Patient comfort and dignity

GIH was one of the pioneering institutions in Nepal to adopt the closed ICU model, ensuring that all patients are managed under the direct supervision of intensive care specialists. It was also the first hospital in the country to introduce individual cubicle-style ICU rooms, a design that significantly reduces the risk of cross-infection while enhancing patient privacy.

In addition to the adult ICU, GIH is equipped with specialized neonatal and pediatric ICUs, each staffed by experts in their respective fields. The hospital currently houses a total of 45 ICU beds30 adult and 15 paediatric/neonatal — making it one of the most comprehensive critical care facilities in the region.
