Urology & Kidney Transplantation Surgery

This department deals with Genito-Urinary System in male & Urinary System only in female. Department was established from the very beginning of the GIH. One Professor & five qualified Urologists & Kidney Transplant Surgeons are providing world standard services for Kidney, Ureter, Urinary Bladder & Urethra. So far department has performed 158 Kidney Transplantation and thousands of surgery for Kidney Cancer, Kidney Stones, Urinary Bladder Cancer, Prostate Surgery and Complex Urethroplasty. Department is proud to become first in country to start RIRS (for kidney stones), Bipolar TURP for enlarged Prostate and Laparoscopic donor Nephrectomy (by Nepali Team only) in the country. Prompt diagnosis and world standard treatment is motto of the department.
